DC Position Announcement: Supervisory Unemployment Compensation Claims Examiner (Benefit Payment Control)

The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES) is seeking a Supervisory Unemployment Compensation Claims Examiner.

This position is located in the Office of Unemployment Compensation, Benefit Payment Control Branch, Department of Employment Services at 4058 Minnesota Ave. NE, Washington, DC 20019. The Office of Unemployment Compensation is responsible for planning, developing, and administering an unemployment insurance program pursuant to the provisions of the District of Columbia Unemployment Compensation Act and applicable federal laws. The Benefit Payment Control Branch is a component of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program and is responsible for promoting and maintaining the integrity of the UI program through prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution and recovery of UI overpayments of unemployment compensation benefits made to claimants. It is also responsible for investigation and determination of fraudulent and/or erroneous payment cases.
