2011 National UI Directors' Conference and Legal Issues Forum
October 17-20, 2011Providence, RI
The 2011 National UI Directors' Conference and IT/Legal Issues forum was held at the historical Providence Biltmore Hotel in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island from October 17, 2011 through October 20, 2011. The conference drew fifteen sponsors, twenty-five exhibitors, and twelve other vendors involved in the unemployment insurance (UI) system. 75th NASWA Annual Conference
September 13-16, 2011San Juan, Puerto Rico
From September 13-16, NASWA held its 75th Annual Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, an opportunity for workforce professionals to share innovative ideas, policies, and practices. The conference had excellent attendance with about 250 participants representing 28 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. The conference featured discussions on the economy, job creation strategies, adult education and the outlook for the workforce system. A special presentation took a nostalgic view of NASWA's 75 years of service to the states. Workshops covered topics ranging from the National Labor Exchange to unemployment insurance technology to job creation strategies. View Conference Highlights and Presentations
IB National Training Conference
September 7-9, 2011St. Pete Beach, FL
The training conference theme was "Get Pumped! Strengthening Interstate Benefits Integrity." Attendees shared innovative ideas and received the latest information dealing with various aspects of the Interstate, Combined Wage Claim and Federal programs for unemployment insurance benefits.
