The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) invites you to join us for our third Employment & Training Committee meeting of the 2016-2017 association year. The meeting will take place August 15-16, 2017 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. The second day of the meeting, Wednesday, August 16, will be a joint session with the NASWA Equal Opportunity and Veterans Affairs Committees.

Members are encouraged to register and stay for the 2017 NASWA Veterans Conference: Serving Those Who Served being held on August 16-18, 2017. The conference will include workshops and plenary sessions for state workforce agencies, federal partners, employers, Veterans Service Organizations, WIOA partners and others focused on "serving those who served”.

This is the 3rd meeting of the Veterans Affairs Committee for the association year. The meeting will take place August 15-16, 2017 at Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. The committee will meet with USDOL VETS national and regional leadership, NVTI contractors, and other stakeholders. There will be discussion on policy, procedure, legislation, and budget. The second half of the meeting will be a joint session with the NASWA EO and E&T committees.

WORKFORCE SUMMIT / 81st Annual Meeting

The National Association of State Workforce Agencies and the Idaho Department of Labor are pleased to invite you to the NASWA Workforce Summit / 81st Annual Meeting. This conference is the premier workforce conference, where leaders of the nation’s state workforce agencies and their staff gather to discuss issues of focus to the workforce system. The issues include the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) implementation, employment services, unemployment insurance, employment statistics and labor market information, with particular focus on workforce development. The conference will take place at the Coeur d’Alene Hotel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, October 11 - 12, 2017.

The Board of Directors will be meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, all administrators are welcome to attend.
