81th Annual NASWA Conference
The Workforce Summit | 81st Annual Meeting was held in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho October 11 - 12, 2017. This year saw higher attendance than last year, with almost 300 attendees participating in the conference from 43 states, plus the District of Columbia and Guam. The Keynote speaker was Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer of Microsoft and many of the nation's governor-appointed workforce agency leaders and their key staff were in attendance. Representatives from employers across the country participated in the conference, including Grifols, Amazon, McCain Foods, LinkedIn, Georgia Power and many others were there. There were also 18 sponsor-exhibitors present at the conference. Ninety-eight percent of attendees responded that they thought the conference was definitely worth attending.
