                                                NASWA Names New Committee Chairpersons

WASHINGTON – The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) today announced the appointment of Chairpersons of the Committees of the Membership. These individuals, selected from across the U.S. to serve as NASWA Committee Chairpersons, are as follows:

  • Terri Slone, Director, Administrative Services, Nebraska Department of Labor, will serve as the Administration and Finance Committee Chairperson
  • Kelly Schulz, Secretary of the Maryland Office of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation will serve as the Audit and Finance Committee Chairperson
  • Scott Eychner, Administrator, Workforce Services Division of the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, will serve as the Employment and Training Committee Chairperson
  • Scott Jensen, Director, Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, will serve as the Equal Opportunity Committee Chairperson
  • Evelina Loescher, Manager of the Economic Information and Analysis Division, Illinois Department of Employment Security, will serve as the Labor Market Information Committee Chairperson
  • Neil Adcox, Assistant Executive Director, CIO, South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, will serve as the Technology Committee Chairperson
  • Michelle Beebe, Senior Deputy Director, Unemployment Insurance, Michigan Talent Investment Agency, will serve as the Unemployment Insurance Committee Chairperson
  • Renita Williams, Unemployment Insurance Director, Louisiana Workforce Commission, will serve as the Unemployment Insurance Interstate Benefits Committee Chairperson
  • Beth Townsend, Executive Director, Iowa Workforce Development, will serve as the Veterans Committee Chairperson

“Each one of these highly talented individuals were selected based on their unique subject matter expertise,” said NASWA Board President Renee Olson, administrator for the Employment Security Division of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. “NASWA is very fortunate to have a group of highly capable and innovative leaders willing to serve and guide as committee chairpersons. We are definitely eager to tap the experience and expertise each of these individuals brings to the table, while representing their respective states.”

NASWA Committee Chairpersons assumed their corresponding positions upon their acceptance of appointment following the 81st Annual Workforce Summit held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho last month. Their terms will last for one year.




The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) represents the 50 state and three territory workforce agencies, which oversee the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs, employment services, unemployment insurance, employment statistics and labor market and workforce information programming. NASWA delivers policy expertise on these issues.
