2016 NASWA Winter Policy Forum


The Winter Policy Forum was a time for collaboration with congressional staffers, representatives from the US Dept. of Labor, D.C. policy makers, WIOA partner groups, and other NASWA member states. The conference was attended by 32 states, with 78 individual state members in attendance and a total attendance of 153. The Board of Directors held their meeting on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, with an attendance of almost 40 members.

About NASWA

Founded in 1937, NASWA is a national organization that advocates on behalf of its members, the publicly-funded state workforce agencies, whose programs include the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), employment services, training programs, unemployment insurance, employment statistics and labor market information. NASWA's goal is to drive the national workforce agenda by providing policy expertise on workforce and unemployment insurance issues.
