About the Position

The Human Services Department for Maricopa County is seeking a dynamic leader with extensive experience in federal, state, or local workforce development programs to be their next Assistant Director - Workforce Development Division. As the Workforce Development Division leader, you will lead a diverse and dedicated team who work together to provide workforce education and training services to Maricopa County residents. You will be responsible for administering federal, state, and non-profit programs and grants, including Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, and Rapid Response programs.

The Workforce Development Division is part of the statewide workforce development network, ARIZONA@WORK. We provide services that benefit both employers and job seekers throughout Maricopa County. For our employment partners, we provide services such as recruiting, developing, and retaining the best employees for their needs. Our team provides job seekers services and resources to pursue educational and employment opportunities. By developing our state's workforce and matching employers with job seekers, we strengthen Maricopa County's and Arizona's economy.
