Basic UI Fraud Investigations Instructor-Led Training

During this instructor-led course, participants will learn the UI fraud investigation process in the context of case studies and scenarios. Through highly engaging class activities, learners will apply critical thinking to investigate single-claimant UI fraud cases and make final determinations. The strategies, techniques and recommended practices taught in this course can be applied within any state.

In order to reserve your space for this course, you must have applied for and been approved for enrollment in the UI National Integrity Academy and the Fraud Investigation Certificate program. All course participants will be required to complete the pre-requisite Online eLearning course “Fundamentals of Integrity for Fraud Investigators” prior to attending the instructor-led training event.

Labor Market Information Committee Meeting

The Labor Market Information Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Coeur d’Alene Hotel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This meeting immediately precedes the 2017 NASWA Workforce Summit, also at the Coeur d’Alene Hotel on October 11-12, 2017. NASWA Communications Workgroup

The objective of the Communications Workgroup is to increase and enhance communications between NASWA and member states, bring attention to and advocate for the work being undertaken on important workforce and unemployment insurance activities nationally and in the states, and leverage messaging at the state and national levels.

The NASWA Communications Workgroup will be dividing their next meeting between the following two times during the NASWA Workforce Summit:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 11th at 4:00pm – 5:30pm
  • Wednesday, Oct. 11th - offsite networking opportunity 6:00-7:30 (location TBD)
  • Thursday, Oct. 12th at 1:45pm – 3:15pm

All Communications staff are invited to attend and participate in these meetings. Please register and check back for an agenda.

The National Association of State Workforce Agencies and the Idaho Department of Labor are pleased to invite you to the NASWA Workforce Summit / 81st Annual Meeting. This conference is the premier workforce conference, where leaders of the nation’s state workforce agencies and their staff gather to discuss issues of focus to the workforce system. The issues include the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) implementation, employment services, unemployment insurance, employment statistics and labor market information, with particular focus on workforce development. The conference will take place at the Coeur d’Alene Hotel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, October 11 - 12, 2017.

The Board of Directors will be meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, all administrators are welcome to attend.
