NASWA Deputy Executive Director Reappointed to Secretary of Labor's Veteran Advisory Committee

NASWA’s Deputy Executive Director Bob Simoneau was reappointed to the Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Veterans’ Employment, Training, and Employer Outreach (ACVETEO), representing state workforce agencies work with veterans through January 31, 2016.

The ACVETEO meets once a quarter and discusses the employment and training needs of veterans and their integration into the workforce, while also assessing  the current programs and activities of Department of Labor on whether or not the agency is most effectively meeting these needs. The advisory committee also assists the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training in carrying out outreach activities to employers with respect to the training and skills of veterans and the advantages afforded to employers by hiring veterans.
