National Labor Exchange (NLx)

The National Labor Exchange (NLx) is a unique public-private partnership between NASWA and DirectEmployers Association (DE), powering the trusted labor exchange network in the United States. Built in 2007, for purpose, not profit, the NLx connects talent and opportunity across the country.

Every day, the NLx collects and distributes millions of unduplicated and authentic job openings exclusively from original and vetted sources to every U.S. state and territory, a network of government, nonprofit, and academic partners, and millions of job seekers. Hundreds of thousands of employers of varying sectors and sizes, and all 50 state workforce agencies, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands participate in the NLx.

More than its data exchange, the NLx provides a robust menu of offerings through our service lines directly to the partnership’s members and powers hundreds of job boards, career navigation tools, and other workforce technology applications and services to support the broader workforce community.
