NASWA is a Supporting Organization for International Fraud Awareness Week
Fraud risks can appear at every turn in the unemployment insurance (UI) program. In recognition of International Fraud Awareness Week (Nov. 15-21, 2026), NASWA invites state workforce agencies to explore common UI fraud risks and prevention strategies. Explore interactive activities, practical resources, and prevention strategies, then share them with staff, employers, claimants, and job seekers to strengthen fraud awareness.
International Fraud Awareness Week is a global effort to minimize the impact of fraud, and NASWA is proud to participate as a Supporting Organization for the sixth consecutive year. Throughout the week, follow NASWA on social media for resources and tips.
NASWA members are also encouraged to participate in the campaign. Ready-to-use social media materials are available for agency use. Educate customers about fraud prevention while highlighting your agency’s commitment to program integrity. Be sure to share your messages using the hashtag #FraudWeek.
The journey does not end when Fraud Awareness Week concludes. Program integrity and fraud prevention resources are available year-round, helping agencies continue their efforts to protect the unemployment insurance system and strengthen public trust.
