NASWA Recognizes First SIDES Certified Integrated Partners and Software Providers



WASHINGTON – The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) is pleased to announce the implementation of formal certification criteria for organizations participating in the State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES). Each year, eligible State Workforce Agencies, SIDES Integrated Partners and SIDES Software Providers as “SIDES Certified” based on established performance metrics. 

The SIDES Certification initiative is designed to recognize and promote excellence in the efficient, secure and improved-integrity exchange of unemployment insurance (UI) information. Certification status will be awarded based on the following data sources: 

  • Employer-Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Performance Report from the SIDES Administrative website  

  • National Workload Report from the SIDES Administrative website 

  • ETA-5159 Claims and Payment Activities 

Organizations achieving certification will receive the official “SIDES Certified” badge icon along with guidelines for its appropriate use. This designation signifies a commitment to high standards of system performance, data accuracy, and operational integrity in unemployment insurance processes. 

“The SIDES certified badge helps set the bar for operational excellence and ensures stakeholders across the UI system are held to consistent and transparent performance standards,” said NASWA President and CEO Scott B. Sanders. “I congratulate this year’s first-ever honorees.” 

The organizations recognized for their dedication in the 2024 calendar year are as follows: 

INTEGRATED PARTNERS 
Criteria: In the calendar year 2024, organizations must have been in production on a minimum of four SIDES exchanges and maintained a performance score of 99% or higher on the Separation Information exchange. Performance is assessed across all data exchange activities with participating states.

SOFTWARE PROVIDERS 

Integrated Partners 
Criteria: In the calendar year 2024, software providers must have had Integrated Partners using their software in production on at least four SIDES exchanges and at least one of the Integrated Partners must be SIDES Certified.

  • Plextera, Inc. 

 

SIDES is a quick, accurate and secure way to automate responses to unemployment insurance claim notices from state workforce agencies and is currently operating in 47 states, the District of Columbia, and two U.S. territories.
