Two New Training Programs Now Available for UI and Workforce Professionals

The Learning team, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, is proud to announce the completion of two courses:

Tax Performance System (TPS)

This new eLearning curriculum provides state unemployment insurance (UI) tax staff with a practical, structured learning path covering

  • TPS fundamentals
  • systems reviews
  • acceptance sampling
  • computed measures
  • conducting TPS reviews across 10 core tax functions.

The final lessons were developed with valuable review and input from multiple state and regional staff. This helped ensure the curriculum is relevant, practical, and aligned with TPS review needs.

The TPS training was developed with the support of U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Unemployment Insurance.

Conducting Effective Grant Monitoring Training

Designed for staff who conduct or support oversight of federally funded programs, this self-paced learning path provides practical guidance for every stage of a monitoring review. Across nine eLearning lessons, learners prepare for

  • monitoring activities
  • practice entrance and exit conferences
  • review simulated grant documents
  • analyze programmatic and financial performance
  • write clear and actionable reports
  • collaborate with grant recipients to resolve findings

Realistic case studies, practical exercises, resource materials, and a comprehensive exam reinforce the skills needed to promote compliance, reduce risk, strengthen accountability, and improve grant performance.

The training was produced in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Grants Management experts.
