Employment & Training Committee Hosts Discussion on USDOL's TEGL 10-23, Change 2

NASWA’s Employment & Training Committee held a virtual call on July 21 to discuss Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 10-23, Change 2, which was recently published by USDOL. It requires work authorization verification for individuals prior to receiving most workforce services. More than 100 individuals attended the meeting, representing 40 states. Meeting attendees had a chance to discuss implementation strategies related to the guidance, such as eligible methods of verification, identifying affected programs, planning for operational impacts, and more.

NASWA's Policy Committees help define policies on issues that are critical to state workforce agencies. These groups are active throughout the year and meet regularly in order to collaborate on key issues across the national workforce system.
