Highlighting Veteran Hiring Policies
Senior Policy Director Lori Adams was a featured speaker at two veterans-focused events in October.
On October 7, she presented information on Veterans Priority of Service and Veterans Preference for the state of Wyoming’s IGNITE E&T Virtual Inservice. The following day, October 8, she participated in DirectEmployers Association’s webinar “Policy in Practice: Transforming Veteran and Disability Hiring Practices."
NASWA's Policy Committees help define policies on issues that are critical to state workforce agencies. These groups are active throughout the year and meet regularly in order to collaborate on key issues across the national workforce system.
