Hilton Honors Partnership Extended

NASWA’s partnership with Hilton Hotels which offers the Hilton Honors program to eligible Veterans, Transitioning Service Members and military spouses has been extended through 2025. In addition, all 33 states currently participating in the program have received notification that they will be able to offer the program for another year. Since its inception in 2013 with only four states, the program has provided more than 1.16 billion hotel points to eligible persons for job interviews, training needed to get or keep a job, or for pre-employment testing. All states are welcome to join.

Here are just a few of the “good news” stories from participating states, demonstrating the program’s success:

  • California – Veteran received points to attend a job interview. Was hired as a System Administrator with a Federal contractor starting at $120,000/year, plus benefits.
  • Indiana – A transitioning Marine was able to travel to Indiana without the stressors of paying out-of-pocket for hotels during his final interview for the Fort Wayne Police Department.
  • New Mexico - USAF Officer went to Denver for a confirmed interview with Delta Airlines and after a couple of interview processes was offered and accepted the position.
  • Minnesota – Transitioning Air Force officer received points to train for a job with United Airlines (United Military Pilot Program).
  • Maryland - An overseas Naval Officer transitioning out of the military received Hilton Honors Military rewards points to complete his onboarding testing with Northrop Grumman. The veteran was offered and accepted a Senior Principal Test Pilot position. The rewards points aided his lodging needs while conducting his onboarding testing.
