Supporting State Modernization: Highlights from the Workforce ITSC Steering Committee

In January, the Workforce IT Support Center (WITSC) Steering Committee, led by Co-Chairs Anna Hui (MO) and Tiffany Smith (USDOL), met virtually over two days to discuss the work planned this year to support states at every stage of modernization, bringing together federal and state partners from vocational rehabilitation, human services, education, and workforce development programs. WITSC’s focus remains clear: supporting states and partners as they work together to implement data-informed, human-centered technology solutions that better serve workforce system customers.

Throughout the year, you can expect:

  • Timely learning and peer connection, including quarterly virtual discussions on emerging workforce technology topics
  • Practical resources and educational materials designed to help states make informed decisions and build capacity
  • Continued emphasis on interoperability and customer-centered approaches that improve how services connect across programs
  • Ongoing updates and shared insights on workforce technology trends, new resources, and learning opportunities
