Unemployment Insurance Committee
The Unemployment Insurance Committee met in Salt Lake City on April 22 with more than 30 members attending. The Committee held a joint session with NASWA’s UI IB Subcommittee featuring state spotlights (HI, NC, OR, UT) and NASWA updates. The Committee engaged in a roundtable discussion for members to provide state agency updates and ask questions to colleagues.
The Committee will meet next on September 9 in Dallas, TX.
Unemployment Insurance Interstate Benefits Subcommittee
The Unemployment Insurance Interstate Benefits Subcommittee met in Salt Lake City on April 22-23, with more than 30 members attending. The Subcommittee held a joint session with NASWA’s UI Committee featuring state spotlights (HI, UT) and NASWA updates. The Subcommittee reviewed responses distributed quarterly to state agency members and engaged in a roundtable discussion, which offered the opportunity to provide agency updates and ask questions to colleagues. The Subcommittee separated into its workgroups (Policy and Technology) to review materials and coordinate planning.
The Subcommittee meets virtually next on July 22.
NASWA's Policy Committees help define policies on issues that are critical to state workforce agencies. These groups are active throughout the year and meet regularly in order to collaborate on key issues across the national workforce system.
