Concurrent Workshop Session: Leveraging the Value of Cross-Sector Partnerships to Create DEI Resources of Value

Franklin Square

Description

Leveraging the Value of Cross-Sector Partnerships to Create DEI Resources of Value

This presentation will focus on the partnership between IVMF, SHRM, and Comcast. This will be discussed in the context of public-private partnership more generally and identifying the value each partner brings to the table, establishing mutual goals, and establishing key objectives that benefit each partner. We will discuss how a continuous improvement model was used to incorporate new learning into each iteration of the guide while integrating best practices for collaboration. As an example of how the partnership created value for the military and Veteran community, we will walk attendees through the guidebook focused on Veteran and military spouse hiring. Panelists will provide an overview of the guidebook, what is included in it, and how users can access it and share it to obtain cultural competence training in working with military-connected employees.
