The SUMMIT is the premier workforce and unemployment insurance conference where leaders of the nation’s state workforce agencies gather to collaborate on key issues across the public workforce system and share promising practices. Focus areas will include workforce development activities and employment services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), unemployment insurance, employment statistics and labor market information, information technology, communications, legal issues, and other topics of interest to state workforce agencies.

The 2026 SUMMIT will be held September 16-17, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI at the Milwaukee Baird Convention Center located at 400 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53203. Connected Board and policy committee meetings will be held on September 14 - 15, 2026.
