WASHINGTON - This week, the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) held its 2020 Unemployment Insurance (UI) Interstate Benefits and Federal Programs Training in Kansas City, Missouri. Diana Harris, Quality, Training and Interstate Support Manager for UI Operations & Customer Support, Texas Workforce Commission, was presented with the UI Interstate Benefits Award of Merit for Distinguished National Service.

Ms. Harris was recognized for her work with improving national policy and procedures in the administration of unemployment insurance claims involving more than one state, as well as the national unemployment insurance programs for employees of the military and the federal government.  

"We have appreciated Diana's leadership on the UI Interstate Benefits Subcommittee and specifically for serving as the region six representative and co-chair of the Policy & Training Workgroup," said Scott B. Sanders, Executive Director of NASWA. "Her exceptional dedication to the integrity of the UI system, specifically the extraordinarily intricate UI Interstate Benefit system is deserving of the Award of Merit for Distinguished National Service."
