Board Elevates Paid Leave Workgroup to Policy Committee

At the Board of Directors Meeting in Dallas, TX, on September 9, Alison Eldridge (WA), Tracy Marshall (CO), and Gina Kelley (NASWA) presented on behalf of the Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) Workgroup, requesting its transition from a workgroup to a formal committee. The Board voted to approve the request. This transition marks an important step in recognizing the group’s ongoing contributions to paid leave policy and administration. The newly established PFML Committee will continue to serve as a resource for states developing and refining paid leave programs. Alison Eldridge will serve as Committee Chair.
