Plenary Session: Relentless Spirit, Resilient Mind
Relentless Spirit, Resilient Mind
Retired Army Master Sergeant Cedric King’s* military career may have ended after two tours in Afghanistan, but the 2012 IED explosion that caused major injuries, including the loss of both legs, did not dampen the mindset and determination that took him from a lowly private to a senior leader in America’s guard of honor, the 82nd Airborne Division. Within 21 months of his injuries, he was running the Boston Marathon on prosthetic blades.
