2023 NASWA UI Integrity Symposium

The UI Integrity Symposium is a gathering for NASWA state workforce members to learn and discuss current and developing trends in UI benefits and tax integrity.

Benefits and tax tracks will focus on UI integrity challenges while also highlighting successful strategies states have implemented to combat fraud, reduce improper payments, improve collections, strengthen UI systems, and update operational processes and procedures.

Registration

Registration is only open to NASWA Members and Government Partners (as described below). 
Non-members (including but not limited to vendors and NASWA Affiliates) are not permitted to register for/ attend the event. 


Symposium Registration

The cost to attend the UI Integrity Symposium is $300.00. This includes breakfast and lunch on December 6th - 7th and breakfast on December 8th. 

Registration Types

Symposium registration is open to NASWA Members and Government Partners (as defined below) ONLY. 

  • NASWA Member is an employee of a member state agency or NASWA staff.
  • Government Partner is a USDOL employee, Federal Agency employee, Federal Agency contractor, Congressional staff, or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) state agency partner employee.

The deadline to register is November 16, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. ET, or earlier if capacity is reached

Cancellations and Refunds
 

A $50.00 processing fee will apply to cancellations requested on or before November 22, 2023. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after November 22, 2023.

Attendees who are unable to attend may transfer their registration to a new attendee within their organization without penalty.


Photography, Video, and Information Sharing Disclaimer

By attending the event, you acknowledge and agree as follows: (a) NASWA may use photographs or recordings of you at the event for social media, marketing, promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business; and (b) due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices in today’s world, NASWA disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in any multimedia format by other attendees at the event.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel located at 100 W. Oklahoma City Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73109, at a government per diem rate of $110.00 per night (plus tax).

Travel Reimbursement - STATES ONLY

Each state will be eligible for up to $10,000 to help cover travel and attendance costs. Reimbursable travel costs include transportation, hotel lodging, per diem costs (consistent with the General Services Administration schedule or the state’s out-of-state per diem policy, whichever is less), and other incidental costs like parking. NASWA will reimburse states only for accommodations on the nights of December 5 – 7, 2023.

How to Submit for Reimbursement

  1. Scan and email a single invoice with documentation, including mailing instructions for the check (attention of individual or department, and address), to accounting@naswa.org.
  2. Names of all attendees, total travel expenses paid per attendee, total requested reimbursement amount, and copies of all corresponding receipts to support the reimbursement, as required by the state’s travel policy, should be included on the invoice.
  3. Each attending state should submit its invoice no later than March 31, 2024. NASWA will not honor invoices submitted after March 31, 2024.

After the Symposium and upon receipt and approval of a single invoice summarizing travel and attendance costs incurred, NASWA will issue one reimbursement check per state for all participants from that state.

How do I cancel my registration?

In the Registration Confirmation email you received from NASWA Meetings after registering for the conference, follow the instructions to modify your registration. You'll need your confirmation number and the email address used to complete the registration to modify your registration. Click, "Cancel Registration" and follow the instructions to complete your cancellation.

Attendees who cancel and do not transfer their registration will be charged a $50.00 processing fee for cancellations/refunds requested on or before 14 days prior to the start of the event. No refunds will be made for cancellation/refund requests received within 14 days of the event.

If you do not have your confirmation email, please contact NASWA-Meetings@naswa.org to request a duplicate.

You'll need your confirmation number and the email address used to complete the registration to modify your registration. Click, "Transfer Registration" and follow the instructions to substitute an attendee.

How can I download a copy of my registration invoice/receipt?

In the Registration Confirmation email you received from NASWA Meetings after registering for the conference, click the link to view/print your invoice/receipt.
