Kentucky’s Hoskinson Appointed Unemployment Insurance Committee Chair

The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) announced that Buddy Hoskinson, Executive Director of the Office of Unemployment Insurance with the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet, has been appointed chair of the association’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) Committee.

Hoskinson assumed his UI Committee Chair position May 1, 2023. He replaced Patsy Westcott who retired after many years of dedicated service to the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Westcott was Chair of the UI Committee since 2022 after serving as Vice-Chair in 2021.

In addition to his new role as UI Committee Chair, Hoskinson also serves as the Region IV Director on the NASWA Board of Directors. He has served under three governors in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has over 33 years of experience within higher education and workforce.
