Reconnect - The Power of Higher Education and Workforce Development Partnerships

The missions of state workforce development and higher education agencies are increasingly aligned. Come join this session supported by our partners at the State Higher Education Officers Association (SHEEO). You’ll learn about the trends, opportunities, and challenges facing higher education agencies and how cross-sector partnerships can elevate workforce development agency goals and outcomes. SHEEO members Vladimir Bassis, Carrie Mayne, and Jessica Cunningham will share critical insights on how higher education policy and funding is evolving, how leveraging cross-sector data can support student success, and the challenges and achievements of state longitudinal data systems. They’ll also share some of their promising state initiatives, like Utah’s Talent Ready Utah program.
