Group Convenes Around Registered Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning
The Registered Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning Group (RAWBL) held its most recent virtual meeting on May 13, with more than 65 individuals in attendance. Members representing Alabama, Arkansas, and Colorado shared presentations on their work around apprenticeship-focused cooperative agreements with U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL).
The meeting also featured an update from USDOL’s Office of Apprenticeship, as well as an update from the National Association of State and Territorial Apprenticeship Directors (NASTAD). The meeting concluded with a roundtable. Attendees shared updates on the apprenticeship work they’re doing at the state level, including how their states recognized National Apprenticeship Week (April 26-May 2).
The next RAWBL call is planned to take place this autumn.
NASWA's Policy Committees help define policies on issues that are critical to state workforce agencies. These groups are active throughout the year and meet regularly in order to collaborate on key issues across the national workforce system.
