What’s in the Data: New Insights from the NLx Research Hub
The National Labor Exchange (NLx) Research Hub has launched “What’s in the Data,” a new blog series offering quick, accessible information on what the NLx job posting data looks like.
Blog 1: Pay Transparency in Job Postings
The first post looks at how often pay information appears in NLx postings from 2024–2025. Using large language models to extract this information from job descriptions, the team identifies where wage and salary details appear and how consistency varies across occupations and states. Read the post.
Blog 2: How Employers Discuss Degree Requirements
This post describes how employers reference degrees in job postings. The data extracted from job descriptions using large language models shows that 59% of postings mention a degree, with high school and bachelor’s requirements appearing most frequently. Master’s degrees show up most often in Community and Social Services roles. Read the post.
