This informational guide outlines the steps for new EO Officers to understand their roles and responsibilities. The NASWA Equal Opportunity Policy and Promising Practices Subcommittee reviewed and updated the guide in July 2019.

This Discrimination Complaint Process Flowchart was reviewed by the NASWA EO Best Practices Subcommittee in February 2017. States may modify it to account for slight differences in their respective state's process.
