Exploring Common Intake & Referrals: State Roundtable Insights
Workforce Information Technology Support Center (Workforce ITSC), in collaboration with the Employment & Training and Technology Committees, hosted a virtual roundtable to explore Common Intake and Referral technology and processes. Workforce leaders from Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Utah shared their innovative solutions to streamline services and improve customer experience.
This collaborative session brought together over 170 members from 41 states and the District of Columbia. In attendance were state workforce agencies, local boards, service providers, and partners who engaged in discussion around strategies for streamlining intake and referral processes across WIOA programs.

Highlights:
- Arkansas showcased CiviForm, a platform designed to simplify access to government and community services, while reducing paperwork and integrating with Arkansas JobLink.
- Pennsylvania introduced its Digital Common Intake Form for a consistent statewide customer experience.
- Utah demonstrated UWORKS, a unified case management system enabling cross-program eligibility and seamless referrals.
