Enhanced Training Opportunities for UI and Grant Monitoring Staff
UI Data Analysis Curriculum
The new Advanced Data Analysis for UI Tax Professionals certificate is now complete! The program of study offers flexible, self-paced eLearning and credits for overlapping coursework. It will help UI staff transform tax data into insights that support better decision-making and improve UI integrity.
With the completion of this final certification program, done in partnership with USDOL, the full UI Data Analysis curriculum is now complete. The full curriculum includes four certifications, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, designed for benefits, tax, and management professionals.
The four certifications are:
- Data Analysis for Beginner Data Analysts
- Advanced Data Analysis for UI Benefits Professionals
- Advanced Data Analysis for UI Tax Professionals – New!
- Advanced Data Analysis for UI Managers and Leaders
Each certificate contains a series of lessons structured into both required and optional modules. Credit will be granted for any previously completed lessons that overlap with modules from other Data Analysis certificates.
New Lessons Added to the Grant Monitoring Training
We are excited to announce that two new eLearning lessons have been added to the Conducting Effective Grant Monitoring Training curriculum. The new lessons cover the key activities that take place after the monitoring review.
New Lessons:
- Write Clear and Actionable Monitoring Reports
- Resolve Monitoring Report Findings
Conduct Effective Grant Monitoring, developed by NASWA and USDOL, is a self-paced eLearning curriculum designed for anyone involved in Federal grant monitoring, including Federal staff, grant recipients, and subrecipients. The training provides a practical foundation for conducting effective, compliant monitoring reviews, enhancing performance, mitigating risks, and ensuring accountability for the use of Federal funds.
This seven-part training program covers the entire process, from planning to follow-up, incorporating real case studies and interactive activities. It offers valuable guidance for conducting compliant and effective monitoring reviews that promote accountability, reduce risk, and improve program performance.
Curriculum Highlights:
- Six brief, self-paced lessons along with a module exam
- Real-world scenarios and practical exercises
- Key monitoring topics, including planning, interviews, compliance, reporting, and follow-up
- Job aids, templates, and additional resources
