2023 SIDES Seminar

The State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES) Seminar is a gathering for state workforce members, employers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to discuss current and developing trends in the unemployment program and how SIDES can be used to enhance integrity measures, streamline claims processing, and reduce agency costs.

SIDES Seminar

The 2023 SIDES Seminar will be held at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station in Indianapolis, IN from Tuesday, April 18, 2023, through Thursday, April 20, 2023. Meals are not provided at the 2023 SIDES Seminar. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase at the hotel at per diem rates.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station located at 123 West Louisiana Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225 at a per diem rate of $127.00 per night (plus tax).

The deadline to reserve a room is Monday, March 27, 2023

 

NOTE: To receive the per diem rate of $127.00, please set your arrival and departure dates for any time between April 16, 2023, through April 22, 2023.

Additional rooms have been added to our block to accommodate increased attendance. Guests may need to click on the accessible icon in the reservation link when making a reservation to access all available rooms. 

 

Parking

  • Self-parking is located directly across the street from the hotel at Pan Am Plaza's underground parking garage, with a rate of $28 for overnight parking. (These facilities are independently owned and operated)
  • Valet service is available at the hotel for $35 for "day" parking and $45 for overnight guests. 

Travel Reimbursement - STATES ONLY

NASWA will provide up to $2,000.00 to each participating state to help cover travel costs. Allowable travel costs include transportation, hotel lodging, per diem costs (consistent with the General Services Administration schedule or the state’s out-of-state per diem requirements, whichever is less), and minor incidental costs like parking. NASWA will reimburse states only for accommodations on the nights of April 17– 20, 2023.

After the seminar and upon receipt and approval of a single invoice summarizing travel costs incurred, NASWA will issue one reimbursement check per state for all participants from that state. The invoice to NASWA should include the name of the attendees, total travel expenses paid per attendee, the total requested reimbursement amount, and copies of all corresponding receipts to support the reimbursement, as required by the state’s travel policy.

The invoice and documentation, including mailing instructions for the check (attention of individual or department, and address), must be scanned and emailed to accounting@naswa.org. Each attending state should submit its invoice no later than July 31, 2023. NASWA will not honor invoices submitted after July 31, 2023.

How do I cancel my registration?

In the Registration Confirmation email you received from NASWA Meetings after registering for the conference, follow the instructions to modify your registration. You'll need your confirmation number and the email address used to complete the registration to access your registration. Click, "Cancel Registration" and follow the instructions to complete your cancellation.

If you do not have your confirmation email, please contact NASWA-Meetings@naswa.org to request a duplicate.

How do I transfer my registration to someone else?

What are the cancellation and refund policies?

There is no cost to attend this event, therefore no cancellation fees will be applied.

Are meals provided at the SIDES Seminar?
